TradeWise Solutions is an independent UK software-comparison publisher for trades, contractors and small businesses. The idea is uncomplicated: software buying is already annoying enough without turning the research into another sales pitch.

What we are trying to do

We research the practical questions that sit behind a software purchase: what the product does, what it costs, where it fits, what it leaves out and what a buyer should test before committing. We use primary sources where we can and link them so readers can check the current position themselves.

Why the articles are written this way

Google recommends people-first content that adds value beyond simply rewriting other sources. Nielsen Norman Group’s web-writing research also supports concise, scannable and objective presentation. That fits our audience rather well. A contractor looking between jobs probably does not need an eight-paragraph meditation on “digital transformation”.

How money fits into it

TradeWise may use affiliate or referral relationships where they are relevant. Those relationships should be disclosed. UK consumer and advertising guidance expects paid or affiliate content to be identifiable, and we agree with the underlying principle: readers should know when money may change hands.

What we will not pretend

We will not claim to have personally used software we have not used. Provider claims are labelled and checked against provider sources. Regulatory points go back to the relevant authority where possible. Judgement is ours; invented experience is not.

Bottom line

TradeWise should save a buyer time and reduce the chance of buying the wrong tool. If an article does not do that, it needs improving.
